Hey guys my names zac carpenter we recently headed up to port fairy and were targeting school size tuna for abit of fun on stick baits so going into this trip i was ery excited as i had never caugt a tuna.
ACCOMMODATION
we stayed at pelicans waters which was awesome Pelican Waters Holiday Park provides accommodation with free WiFi, a seating area, a flat-screen TV, and a kitchen. Free private parking is available on site.
OUR SPREAD
ok guys we fished a 6 way spread with 2 skirts on the outside out about 100 mt thin we fished 3 x raps in closer one in around 12mt from the boat another out about 25 mt and the last one was set out to 50mt there was definitely a stand out lure which was a littiel white and orange x-wrap that caught a lot of our fish.
CASTING INTO THE SCHOOLS OF TUNA
so all we were doing was jumping from schools to schools of tuna with our spread out and we had 2 people up the front casting stick bats into the tuna schools COOK UP so after our days fishing we cleaned our fish then on the bbq at the ramp we chucked some fresh tuna on with some butter and soy sauce as the dressing yummo
GETTING OUT OF PORT FAIRY
so getting out was simple we waited till the sun started rising so we had a little bit of light we then keepted left of the beacon.
