Melbourne Snapper Report Fishing Port Phillip Bay Reds

Plenty of reds have been getting Caught of Frankston in 16 meters. Have had some solid report coming from out wide near the shipping channel. Reds are still patchy so using your sounder is a must. Plenty of garfish in the bay at the moment out from Mornington.

The water temp is right so its just a matter of findin

g the fish and catching them, Best bait’s at the moment are Pilchards whole on twin Suicide hooks & fresh Squid strips or cubes of pillys on a flasher rig by Reedy’s Rigz .  some fish will be heading south in the afternoons we prefer to fish 10 – 14 meters the even shallow at night .  the morning’s we work our way out towards the deeper water as the suns get higher.
